Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager – IT Services (Lead Generation)Location: Mohali Department: Sales & Business Development Experience: 10-12 years Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to lead and execute lead generation strategies for IT services. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT solutions and services, strong B2B sales acumen, and a proven track record of generating qualified leads across international markets i.e. U.S. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities and converting them into long-term client relationships for services including software development, mobile applications (iOS/Android), AI/ML, cloud solutions, and digital marketing. Key Responsibilities: Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Develop and implement strategic lead generation plans to identify and target potential clients for IT services.
  • Leverage tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, ZoomInfo, Clutch, and company databases to build and manage a strong lead pipeline.
  • Generate high-quality leads through cold outreach, LinkedIn engagement, email campaigns, webinars, events, and referrals.
  • Coordinate with the digital marketing team to support inbound lead generation via SEO, paid ads, and content strategy.

Sales Funnel Management

  • Own the top-of-funnel and middle-of-funnel stages, nurturing Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs).
  • Engage with prospects through consultative selling to understand their needs and present tailored IT service solutions.
  • Collaborate with the pre-sales and technical teams to ensure seamless lead handover and solution alignment.

Market Research & Intelligence

  • Track industry trends in software development, mobile apps, AI, cloud, and digital services to align offerings with market demand.
  • Research industry trends, emerging technologies, and target segments to identify new opportunities.
  • Analyze competitor offerings and positioning to refine messaging and service differentiation.
  • Contribute to go-to-market strategies for specific verticals or regions i.e. US market

Collaboration & Strategy

  • Work closely with the marketing team to align lead generation campaigns with branding and positioning strategies.
  • Provide inputs on pricing strategies, proposal development, and RFP responses.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of outreach, lead status, and sales activities in CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho).
  • Provide regular reporting on KPIs including lead volume, conversion rates, pipeline value, and revenue forecasts.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Maintain accurate records of all lead generation activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho).
  • Present regular reports and dashboards on lead quality, conversion rates, pipeline and revenue forecasts.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10-12 years of experience in business development or sales with a strong focus on lead generation for IT services.
  • Proven experience generating leads for services such as:
  • Custom software development (.NET, PHP etc.)
  • Mobile app development (iOS, Android), Flutter Development
  • AI/ML-based solutions
  • Cloud & DevOps services
  • Digital marketing & web technologies
  • Hands-on experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot) and lead generation platforms (LinkedIn, Apollo, ZoomInfo).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of B2B decision-making cycles, especially in international market i.e. US
  • Self-motivated, Ability to work independently and drive results in a target-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience working in IT Services, Software Development, SaaS, or Consulting.
  • Knowledge of global IT markets (especially US market).
  • Certifications in sales, lead generation, or digital marketing are a plus.
