Role Overview:

This position requires a leader to manage a team of DevOps and Software Engineers, providing technical direction for multiple software development projects. The role involves evolving and maintaining custom-engineered scientific solutions, while collaborating with global IT teams.

You will be responsible for the following:

• Lead a team of DevOps and Software Engineers

• Act as a technical lead for one or several software development projects

• Evolve and maintain custom engineered scientific solutions

• Cooperate with IT teams across the globe

Required Experience and Skills:

• BSc or MSc in computer science or related field

• At least 5 years of experience in software development with proficiency in one of these programming languages Python, Java, C, etc. 

• At least 2 years in leading technical teams

• Excellent problem-solving skills and high professional standards with strong ability to prioritize and work under pressure

• Strong communication skills and ability to simplify and explain complex problems to data scientists and software engineers

• Linux/terminal proficiency and comfortable with terminal-based workflows.

• Understanding of data structures and algorithms, software design patterns

• Experience with containerization and virtualization technologies

• Familiarity with AWS and cloud computing ecosystems

• Experience with DevOps pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).

Nice to Have

• Background in computational chemistry, bio informatics or similar area

• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).

• Experience with security best practices in DevOps.
