Position Overview

We are seeking a Field Sales Manager from the packaging / compostable / plastic film/bags industry to expand Biometa's market presence. The ideal candidate should have an existing network of potential buyers and proven experience in market visits, client acquisition, and product pitching. This role is critical in driving on-ground sales growth, market intelligence, and building strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities


• Market Visits & Client Acquisition


• Conduct regular field visits to retailers, distributors, and B2B clients in assigned territory.


• Identify and onboard new customers from the same or allied industries using personal network and leads.


• Sales Pitch & Product Promotion


• Present Biometa Polypack's product portfolio (compostable carry bags, garbage bags, packaging films, etc.) to potential clients.


• Demonstrate product benefits, customization options (micron, size, print), and compliance with CPCB norms.


• Market Research & Competitor Analysis


• Gather insights on competitor products, pricing, and market trends.


• Provide detailed weekly/monthly reports to management on market developments and client feedback.


• Customer Relationship Management


• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business.


• Coordinate with internal teams for order execution, payment follow-ups, and issue resolution.


• Revenue Generation & Targets


• Achieve monthly sales targets through direct client acquisition and channel sales.


• Explore opportunities for bulk B2B orders and institutional sales (retail chains, quick-commerce players, e-commerce platforms).

Key Requirements


• Experience: 2–5 years in field sales (preferably in compostable packaging, flexible packaging, plastic films, or allied sectors).


• Industry Network: Should have an existing client network and ability to generate leads quickly.


• Education: Graduate in Business, Marketing, or relevant field (MBA preferred but not mandatory).


• Skills:


• Strong communication and negotiation skills


• Ability to pitch products confidently to decision-makers


• Good understanding of market dynamics, pricing, and competition


• Self-driven and target-oriented


• Other Requirements:


• Willingness to travel extensively


• Own vehicle preferred for field visits


• Basic reporting skills (Excel, CRM updates, etc.)

• Number of new clients acquired per month


• Sales volume achieved (MT/month)


• Retention and repeat order rate


• Quality of market intelligence shared


• Contribution to overall revenue growth
