Job Title: ORM Framework Adherence & QA - Associate
Location: Mumbai, India
Role Description
- You will be joining the ORM Framework Adherence & QA team, and expected to contribute to the effective design, development and execution of the Bank's Operational Risk Management Framework.
- Our aim is to support Business Divisions, Infrastructure functions and 2LoDs manage their operational risk exposure and facilitate effective decision-making. The Operational Risk Management (ORM) function works across the Bank to ensure that the banks Operational Risk exposure is adequately managed in-line with the group wide risk appetite and ORM framework.

Your key responsibilities
- Independently assess 1LoD and 2LoD Risk Functions degree of implementation and adherence to OR Framework requirements and in doing so, provide confidence in quality of OR outputs leveraged for decision-making.
- Investigate reasons behind any lack of framework adherence by 1LoD and 2LoD Risk Functions with an aim to proactively identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across Business Divisions, Infrastructure and RTCs to ensure collective design inputs are considered throughout the implementation and embedding of ORM Framework processes, controls, minimum standards.
- Collaborate with ORM Framework to propose and agree enhancements to the existing OR Framework to deliver better risk management and operating efficiency outcomes.
- Consider current and emerging industry trends and standards, risk management practices and changes in the regulatory and operating environment.
- Support the development of Operational Risk systems, tools and data infrastructure.
Your skills and experience
- Experience with a minimum of 4 years in business, finance, risk management, consulting, or similar role within financial services.
- Understanding of Operational Risk Management principles and practices with relevant experience gained in 1LoD risk & control role, 2LoD risk function or Audit.
- Demonstrable experience of developing strong working relationships with business areas to facilitate successful risk management practice within the 3LoD model.
- Ability to adopt a methodical approach to analyse data, draw conclusions and provide concise commentary suitable for a senior audience.
- Good communication and presentation skills, with keen eye for detail and focus on quality control.
- Familiar with MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
- Experience gained within a Big 4 consulting firm (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC) is preferable.
- Professional qualification (CA or MBA from a reputable institution) is preferable.
