ROLE: Data Automation Architecture

Level: Architect

• As a Architect at Deloitte Consulting, you will you will lead the automation and configuration of data centre infrastructure, with a primary focus on leveraging Ansible and related automation technologies. You will serve as a technical authority, setting standards, providing expert guidance, and mentoring a team dedicated to building highly automated, scalable, and reliable infrastructure solutions.

The work you will do includes:

• Act as the primary expert in infrastructure automation within the organization, providing technical direction and vision for automation initiatives.
• Serve as the go-to authority for Ansible and related automation tools.
• Lead the design and development of advanced automation solutions, including Ansible playbooks and roles, to support infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and configuration management across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Architect scalable, maintainable, and secure automation frameworks for data centre operations.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level automation engineers, fostering their technical growth and professional development.
• Conduct training sessions and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
• Define, implement, and enforce coding standards, best practices, and architectural patterns for automation to ensure consistency and quality across all deliverables.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of custom Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) platforms built on Ansible, integrating with other tools and systems as needed.
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting and problem-solving for automation-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Collaborate with networking, security, application development, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of automated solutions.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in Ansible, automation best practices, and industry trends.
• Proactively identify and implement opportunities for process improvement in automation workflows.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation processes, playbooks, roles, and architectural decisions.

Skills / Project Experience:

• 10 – 15 years of on prem Data centre management /cloud with good hands on experience of Automation assues using Ansible / native technologies , Ansiblke playbooks , deployment , Terraform , Python and other scripting languages . Integration of Ansible with ServiceNow

Must Have:

• Experience – 10 – 15 years of on prem Data centre management /cloud with good hands on experience of Developing Ansible playbooks , deployment , Terraform , Python and other scripting languages . Integration of Ansible with ServiceNow
• Extensive experience in infrastructure automation, with deep expertise in Ansible.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale automation solutions in data centre or cloud environments.
• Strong leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.
• Experience with custom IaC platforms and integration with other automation and monitoring tools is a plus.
• Observability as code

Good to Have:

• Data centre Operations Experience
• Experience in Managing / leading teams supporting platform , network , Database technologies
• Program management / large scale managed services delivery experience

Education:

B.E./B. Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university

Prior Experience:

• 10 – 15 years of on prem Data centre management /cloud with good hands on experience of Developing Ansible playbooks , deployment , Terraform , Python and other scripting languages . Integration of Ansible with ServiceNow
