Role Description

The role of an Engineer in Positka is pivotal in driving value for the firm. A person in this role will work

independently with very senior clients and drive client satisfaction in a high expectation environment.

As an APM specialist, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of

Observability solutions for clients. The role involves working with clients to understand their specific needs

and requirements and then implementing the Infra monitoring, APM, RUM, and Synthetic monitoring

solutions to meet those needs. You will also get the opportunity to:

  • Drive thought leadership and innovation within the organization for the portfolio.

  • Convert customer requirements into specific deliverables and credible plans.

  • Drive delivery of outcomes in collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities for business development and extending client relationships.

  • Engage with technical and business leaders to help identify (and solve) complex problems.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices related to Observability.

Experience, skills, education

  • 5+ years of experience working with observability platforms and APM tools.

  • Strong knowledge of Observability platforms such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog or New Relic

  • Hands-on experience across multiple platforms would be strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience around the consultation, design and implementation of APM, Real User

Monitoring, Synthetic Monitoring, Infrastructure Monitoring and Log Management modules.

  • Knowledge of the Splunk Observability suite and/or OTEL would be a significant advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructures and configuration.

  • Strong knowledge of public cloud observability principles and best practices.

  • Demonstrated understanding of code-level and container-level performance tuning,

troubleshooting, and architecture best practice for enterprise applications.

  • Experience with monitoring technologies such as SNMP, WMI, or JMX

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of log monitoring solutions such as Splunk would be an added advantage
