Role & responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design and development of a log collection, management, and parsing application tailored for telecom network elements and systems.
  • Architect scalable log processing pipelines with support for real-time and batch analysis.
  • Define data models, parsing rules, and transformation logic for varied telecom log formats (e.g., CDR, signaling logs, performance logs).
  • Integrate log ingestion from multiple sources (network elements, probes, OSS/BSS systems).
  • Build efficient search, filtering, and reporting features for analyzed logs.
  • Ensure application performance, scalability, and fault tolerance in high-throughput telecom environments.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and telecom SMEs to align requirements with implementation.
  • Mentor and guide a team of Python developers, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Coordinate with DevOps for CI/CD pipeline integration and production deployment.

Required Skills

  • Strong expertise in Python (multithreading, multiprocessing, async programming, log parsing libraries, regex).
  • Proven experience in log management frameworks (e.g., ELK Stack, Splunk).
  • Deep understanding of telecom domain protocols and logs (Diameter, SIP, SS7, GTP, HTTP/2, 5G/4G core logs).
  • Experience with message queues/streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with large-scale distributed systems.
