How You Fit In

At Bidgely, the Presales and Solution Engineering team plays a pivotal role in analyzing market trends & customer needs, and using these inputs to guide Bidgely's sales, marketing & innovation efforts. This role offers critical support to Bidgely's sales process by interfacing with customers to understand their needs, solution designing, providing technical / product support in sales calls, and responding to RFPs.

As Solution Consultant, Presales and Solution Engineering, you will report to the Director, Presales and Solution Engineering with a dotted line reporting to the Vice President, International Sales and will be a key player in driving Bidgely's market share growth. You will have extensive experience working with the utility industry on presales, sales, and solutioning, and have a solid understanding of how regulations work as well as the RFP process. You will be well versed with the various megatrends impacting the industry, how these megatrends are transforming various programs in this industry related to customer experience, energy efficiency, grid modernization, and transportation and electrification, and the role that analytics and artificial intelligence will play

Drive Revenue Growth

  • Collaborate with the International Sales team to help deliver on revenue targets by providing strategic opportunity support as a subject matter expert (SME) for Bidgely's current and future customers.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their unique business challenges and objectives and design and present tailored solutions that leverage

Bidgely's technology to address them.

  • Work with the sales/marketing/presales teams to strategize pricing and packaging, develop winning proposals, and build client strategies.
  • Manage technical components of RFPs/RFIs and prepare program designs and data models in support of these RFP/RFI submissions.
  • Interface directly with Bidgely customers in presentations, meetings, interviews and demonstrations to provide expert guidance on Bidgely's solutions and build strong relationships with clients.

Influence Long-term Company Strategy

  • Apply deep understanding of the regulated & deregulated utility markets, and how Bidgely can play a disruptive role in scaling artificial intelligence across the market.
  • Use market and customer knowledge to develop long-term strategies to guide the product, technology, and marketing functions on innovation

and product positioning in collaboration with the Director, Presales and Solution Engineering.

  • Collaborate cross functionally to conceptualize solution enhancements that will help penetrate accounts / markets / regions; Serve as the SME

both internally and externally

  • Collaborate with a variety of cross-utility stakeholders and effectively influence the buying teams to embrace and adopt optimal Bidgely

solutions

  • Evangelize Bidgely via thought-leadership webinars, white papers, case studies, and presentations at external utility industry conferences
  • Support Director in enhancing Operational Excellence in the Presales and Solution Engineering team

Key Performance Indicators (For Full Year)

  • Prepare standard RFP content and presales deck tailored for EMEA & APAC regions, including India. Update content every 6 months
  • Prepare competitive battlecards for international regions and update every 6 months.
  • Strategize & standardize RFPs and ensure high quality output so as to minimize RFP-related executive workload
  • Scope and write 15 non-solicited proposals as the SME lead
  • Prepare and present at least 25+ client presentations and demos alongside international sales team
  • Represent Bidgely at 2+ conferences; present or participate in panel in at least 2+ conferences

You Will Bring

Preferred:

  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Startup and/or consulting experience, particularly in technology and

energy sectors

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years experience in the utility or renewable energy space and knowledge of the regulated/de-regulated utility market
  • 4+ years experience in a solutions engineering or pre sales related position
  • Strong data analytical skills
  • Strategic, big picture, out-of-the-box thinking with ability to connect the dots and distil megatrends into product and sales level strategies
  • Experience developing & delivering client-focused solutions to anticipate and exceed customer needs
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines by prioritizing and re-prioritizing tasks
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including CXOs.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Agile working mode and self starter with quick turn around capabilities
