Role Description:

We're building a cinematic 2D universe that merges astrology, mythology, and emotion through powerful storytelling. As the Character Illustrator & Storyboard Cleanup Artist, you'll bridge the gap between raw storyboards and final animation — refining characters, maintaining proportions, and ensuring every frame feels alive and expressive. You'll collaborate closely with the storyboard artist and animators to transform rough sketches into clean, emotionally resonant illustrations ready for animation.

Responsibilities:

Take rough storyboard frames and convert them into clean, detailed illustrations with correct proportions and facial consistency.

Add facial expressions, refine poses, and enhance visual storytelling based on given direction.

Maintain style consistency across multiple episodes and character appearances.

Collaborate with animators to ensure assets are clean and production-ready.

Create full-body character turn-around sheets for each new or existing character.

Create new character illustrations from written briefs and descriptions when needed.

Deliver weekly targets (approx. 100 panels/week) while maintaining quality and accuracy.

Work closely with the creative director to match the cinematic tone and mood of the series.

Requirements:

Strong drawing fundamentals — anatomy, perspective, and proportions.

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop / Clip Studio Paint / Krita or equivalent digital art tools.

Ability to adapt to an established art style and maintain consistency.

Good sense of expression, silhouette, and visual clarity.

Attention to detail and patience for cleanup-heavy work

(Preferred but not mandatory) Prior experience in 2D animation pipelines or character cleanup work.
