Python Automation Networking Engineer

Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Python Automation Networking Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for our network infrastructure. You will leverage your strong Python programming skills and networking expertise to streamline network operations, improve efficiency, and enhance reliability.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about automation and possess a deep understanding of networking concepts and protocols. Responsibilities : Network Automation Development :

• Design, develop, and implement Python-based automation scripts and tools for network configuration, monitoring, and management.
• Automate repetitive network tasks, such as device configuration, software upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain network automation frameworks and libraries.
• Integrate automation solutions with existing network management systems.

Network Infrastructure Management :

• Manage and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues.
• Implement and maintain network security policies and procedures.
• Deploy and configure network services and applications.

API Integration :

• Develop and integrate with network device APIs (i.e., RESTful APIs, NETCONF, gRPC).
• Automate network configuration and monitoring using API calls.
• Develop custom APIs for network automation and Management :
• Implement and manage network configuration management tools (i.e., Ansible, SaltStack, Chef).
• Automate network configuration changes and deployments.
• Ensure consistent and compliant network configurations.

Network Monitoring and Reporting :

• Develop and implement network monitoring solutions using Python and related tools.
• Generate network performance reports and dashboards.
• Automate network alerting and incident response.

Testing and Validation :

• Develop and execute test plans for network automation scripts and tools.
• Perform unit, integration, and system testing.
• Ensure the reliability and stability of automation solutions.

Collaboration and Documentation :

• Collaborate with network engineers, system administrators, and developers.
• Document automation scripts, tools, and processes.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.

Continuous Learning :

• Stay up-to-date with the latest network automation technologies and best practices.
• Research and evaluate new tools and technologies.
• Contribute to the development of internal knowledge sharing resources.

Qualifications : Education :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.

Experience :

• 5+ years of experience in network automation and/or network engineering.
• Strong experience with Python programming for network automation.
• Experience with network device APIs (i.e., RESTful APIs, NETCONF, gRPC).
• Experience with configuration management tools (i.e., Ansible, SaltStack, Chef).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls).
• Experience with network monitoring tools (i.e., Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix).

Technical Skills :

• Expert proficiency in Python programming.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with network device APIs and configuration management tools.
• Knowledge of network monitoring and logging tools.
• Experience with version control systems (i.e., Git).
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems.
