About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Network Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automation solutions that improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking concepts combined with scripting/programming skills to automate network operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools to manage network devices and services.
  • Collaborate with network engineering teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Automate network configuration, deployment, and monitoring processes.
  • Integrate automation solutions with APIs, orchestration tools, and monitoring platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in automated processes and network systems.
  • Maintain documentation for automation workflows, processes, and code repositories.
  • Participate in proof-of-concept (POC) and testing for new automation tools and solutions.
  • Ensure automation practices align with security and compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of networking technologies (Routing, Switching, Firewalls, Load Balancers).
  • Hands-on experience with network automation tools (Cisco NSO, Ansible, Python scripts, Netmiko, Nornir, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Python, YAML, or similar scripting/programming languages.
  • Experience working with APIs (REST, JSON, XML).
  • Knowledge of network management protocols (SNMP, NETCONF, RESTCONF).
  • Familiarity with SDN and NFV concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certifications such as Cisco DevNet, CCNP/CCIE, JNCIS-DevOps, or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud networking and automation (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab) for network automation workflows.
