Role & responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive fire safety policies and procedures tailored to the unique operational needs of a vertically integrated solar PV manufacturing ecosystem.
  • Conduct regular fire risk assessments across the facility, including high-tech manufacturing units for ingots, wafers, cells, and modules, as well as ancillary units like Solar Glass and Aluminum Frame production.
  • Design and execute fire safety training programs for employees, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a culture of safety awareness.
  • Oversee the maintenance and readiness of fire safety equipment, including fire alarms, suppression systems, and emergency response tools, ensuring alignment with the latest industry standards.
  • Lead emergency response planning and drills, coordinating with internal teams and external agencies to ensure preparedness for fire-related incidents.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate fire safety measures into the design and operation of new and existing facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international fire safety regulations, maintaining necessary certifications and documentation.
  • Investigate fire incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide expert guidance on fire safety considerations for emerging technologies and materials used in solar PV manufacturing, such as TOPCon & MonoPERC technologies.
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, insurance providers, and other stakeholders on matters related to fire safety.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Certified Fire and Safety Professional (e.g., NEBOSH, NFPA, or equivalent) with a strong understanding of industrial fire safety standards.
  • 1522 years of experience in fire safety management, preferably within large-scale manufacturing or industrial facilities.
  • Proven track record of implementing fire safety systems and protocols in technologically advanced environments.
