Job Description — Senior Credit Risk Strategy & Analytics Leader (15+ Years Banking Experience)Position Title:AVP/ Sr. AVP – Credit Risk Strategy & Analytics (Banking Sector)About the RoleWe're seeking a dynamic and visionary leader with 15+ years of experience in banking. This role sits at the crossroads of risk analytics, business development, marketing strategy, and stakeholder engagement. You will lead model development, shape credit risk strategies—including collections and underwriting—drive data-driven marketing analytics, curate business solutions, and articulate and pitch these ideas to executive leadership and key stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesModel Development & ValidationArchitect, develop, and oversee credit risk models such as scoring, default prediction, collections propensity, and customer lifetime value.Ensure model robustness through rigorous validation, back-testing, and performance monitoring.Credit Risk StrategyDesign and refine underwriting frameworks, credit policies, and risk segmentation strategies.Develop and implement collection strategies, including segmentation, prioritization, and treatment models for delinquent portfolios.Risk & Marketing AnalyticsLead deep-dive risk analytics to spot trends, early warning signals, and portfolio vulnerabilities.Use marketing analytics to craft personalized offers and campaigns that balance customer engagement with risk mitigation.Business Development & Solution CurationIdentify market opportunities and co-create tailored financial products and credit solutions.Translate analytics insights into commercial offerings that meet both customer and organizational goals.Stakeholder & Team LeadershipInfluence and present strategies to senior leadership, business units, and external partners.Build, mentor, and lead high-performing cross-functional teams comprising modelers, analysts, and strategists.Governance & ComplianceAlign models and strategies with regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks.Support model governance, audit engagements, and documentation.QualificationsEducation & Experience15+ years in credit risk, analytics, modeling, or related leadership roles in the banking/financial services industry.Technical ExpertiseStrong proficiency in statistical modeling, machine learning, and tools such as Python, R, SAS, or equivalent.Hands-on experience with credit risk, collections strategy, underwriting, propensity modeling, and marketing analytics.Strategy & Business AcumenProven ability to craft and execute risk strategies and business analytics.Experience developing business cases, pitching ideas, and securing stakeholder buy-in.Leadership & CollaborationDemonstrated success in managing teams and influencing cross-functional, senior stakeholders.Excellent communication—capable of translating technical strategies into compelling business narratives.Regulatory & Governance UnderstandingKnowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., Basel guidelines), model validation best practices, and audit processes.Preferred QualificationsMBA, Advanced degree in finance, statistics, economics, or data science or equivalent.Experience in digital lending, fintech, or omnichannel customer engagement.Exposure to advanced AI/ML models (e.g., neural networks, ensemble techniques) in risk application ;
