We are seeking a seasoned SAP Solution Manager Consultant to join our team and play a vital role in managing and optimizing our SAP landscape. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) to design, implement, and maintain comprehensive solutions that streamline our SAP operations and enhance system performance. You will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to managing SAP systems and ensuring their optimal performance. This includes monitoring system health, analyzing system issues, and implementing necessary changes and improvements. Roles and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of SAP applications, from initial setup to ongoing maintenance and support.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of new solutions.
  • Set up and use SAP Solution Manager for root cause analysis, system monitoring, and application lifecycle management.
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize application performance and minimize downtime.
  • Provide expert guidance on best practices for application development, testing, and deployment.
  • Partner with IT operations to ensure smooth integration of applications into production environments.
  • Lead or assist in the implementation and configuration of SAP Solution Manager for clients, including setting up solution documentation, change control management, and incident management.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to document and manage business processes and requirements using SAP Solution Manager's capabilities.
  • Configure and use SAP Solution Manager for technical monitoring of SAP systems, databases, and infrastructure components to ensure system availability and performance.
  • Implement and optimize change request management processes using SAP Solution Manager's ChaRM functionality.
  • Configure and use the incident management functionality to track and manage incidents and service requests.
  • Maintain and update solution documentation to ensure accurate and up-to-date records of system landscapes and processes.
  • Assist in system landscape optimization projects using SAP Solution Manager's capabilities to identify opportunities for consolidation and improvement.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and IT teams to maximize their understanding and utilization of SAP Solution Manager functionalities.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP Solution Manager configurations, processes, and technical specifications.

Must-Have Skills
  • Should have 3-6 years of experience with a deep understanding of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and DevOps principles.
  • Should have proficiency in SAP Solution Manager 7.2 with hands-on experience in implementing Build and Run capabilities, including Solution Documentation, Configuration of Change Request Management (CHARM), and Transport Management.
  • Should have expertise in configuring System and Application Monitoring, Business Process Operations, Incident Management (IT Service Management), and Early Watch Alert reporting.
  • Should have experience in ABAP development for integrating Solution Manager with other ITSM tools. 
  • Should have familiarity with SAP Cloud ALM (CALM) and SAP Cloud Platform/Business Technology Platform (BTP).
  • Should have strong knowledge of SAP modules including FI, CO, MM, PS, QA, SD, PM, and HR.
  • Should have experience with SAP ERP and SAP Activate project methodology.
  • Should  have hands-on experience with SAP Focused Run, Focused Build, and Focused Insights. 
  • Should have familiarity with SAP Charm and Solman. Experience with System Upgrades, OS/DB migrations, and HANA migration projects is preferred.
  • Should have the ability to contribute to best practices in SAP Solution Manager configuration. Understanding of SAP OCC (Operational Control Center) and complete knowledge of Run SAP/E2E Methodology & ALM Processes.
