Job Title: Purchase Manager – Pharma Division

Department: Procurement / Supply Chain

Reporting To: Director – Operations

Location: E206,first floor, phase 8b, industrial area, mohali 160055

Job Purpose:

To manage and oversee the end-to-end procurement of pharmaceutical raw materials, packaging materials, and other supplies required for production, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Planning & Strategy
  • Develop and implement effective purchase strategies aligned with production plans.
  • Forecast material requirements in coordination with the production and planning team.
  • Maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
  • Vendor Management
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers (APIs, excipients, packaging, etc.).
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts for cost optimization.
  • Conduct vendor audits in collaboration with QA and regulatory teams.
  • Purchase Operations
  • Issue purchase orders (POs) and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain proper documentation as per GMP / FDA / ISO standards.
  • Coordinate with accounts for vendor payments and resolve discrepancies.
  • Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure all materials meet quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with company SOPs, cGMP, and local/international procurement policies.
  • Cost Control & Reporting
  • Monitor purchase budgets and analyze cost variance.
  • Generate weekly and monthly procurement reports for management review.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Collaborate with Production, QA, QC, R&D, and Finance teams for smooth workflow.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical raw materials and packaging materials
  • Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and other pharma regulatory norms
  • ERP / SAP / Tally or similar procurement system knowledge
  • Excellent communication & vendor management skills

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc / MBA in Supply Chain or related field
  • Experience: 5–10 years in pharma procurement or supply chain management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹22, ₹40,000.00 per month
