Role & responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking a creative and experienced Social Media Manager to handle digital marketing and content strategy for an established Indian classical musician. This role focuses on influencer marketing, brand building, and managing multiple social media platforms dedicated to promoting Indian classical music and culture.

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Creation

  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies for musician's personal brand

  • Create engaging content calendars for Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and other platforms

  • Design visually appealing posts, stories, and reels showcasing performances, behind-the-scenes content, and educational materials

  • Write compelling captions in Hindi and English that resonate with audiences

Influencer Marketing & Brand Management

  • Build and maintain the artist's online presence as a classical music influencer

  • Collaborate with other musicians, artists, and cultural institutions for cross-promotion

  • Identify and engage with potential brand partnerships and sponsorship opportunities

  • Manage collaborations with music labels, event organizers, and cultural organizations

Community Management

  • Respond to comments, messages, and engage with followers across all platforms

  • Build and nurture an online community of classical music enthusiasts

  • Moderate discussions and maintain positive brand image

  • Handle crisis communication and reputation management

Analytics & Growth

  • Track and analyze social media metrics and performance

  • Implement growth strategies to increase followers and engagement

  • Prepare monthly reports on social media performance and ROI

  • Stay updated with latest social media trends and algorithm changes

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage Indian classical music-related pages and communities

  • Coordinate with photographers, videographers, and graphic designers

  • Plan and execute social media campaigns for concerts, album releases, and events

  • Assist with digital marketing for music releases and performances

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in social media management, preferably in entertainment/music industry

  • Proficiency in Hindi and English (written and spoken)

  • Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.)

  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Photoshop)

  • Knowledge of video editing software (preferred)

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram Business, YouTube Studio

  • Understanding of SEO and content optimization

  • Analytics tools experience (Google Analytics, social media insights)

  • Familiarity with influencer marketing platforms and strategies

Personal Attributes

  • Creative mindset with attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and writing skills

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of traditional music audiences
