Job Position : QA Engineer (Manual + Automation)

Job Location: Gurgaon/Mohali (Work From Office)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer with 4+ years of

expertise in manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on

experience with Selenium, TestNG, and programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Python) for

automation. Solid knowledge of API testing, database validation (SQL & NoSQL), and Linux

command-line operations is essential. The candidate will also mentor junior QA engineers and

drive test automation strategies to ensure high-quality product delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test

cases.

• Build and enhance automation frameworks using Selenium, TestNG, and

Java/JavaScript/Python.

• Drive API testing using tools such as Postman or REST-assured and validate backend

services.

• Perform backend validation using SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Utilize Linux commands for log analysis, server-side validations, and debugging test

environments.

• Mentor junior QA engineers, providing technical guidance, reviews, and training.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (developers, product owners, DevOps) to

ensure quality standards are met.

• Identify, report, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
• Advocate for QA best practices, continuous automation coverage, and process

improvements.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to estimation, planning, and

retrospectives.

• Ensure robust test coverage across functional, regression, integration, and performance

testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in software testing (manual + automation).
• Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver and TestNG.
• Proficient in programming with Java, JavaScript, and Python for test automation.
• Strong knowledge of API testing with Postman, REST-assured, or similar tools.
• Experience with backend testing using SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on knowledge of Linux commands for QA activities (log analysis, process checks,

environment debugging).

• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and QA best practices.
• Experience designing scalable automation solutions and integrating them with CI/CD

pipelines.

• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience mentoring QA team

members.

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):

• Exposure to Playwright for web automation using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience in mobile application testing (Android and/or iOS).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
• Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
• Experience with test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.
