Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Engineer to design, build, and deploy intelligent solutions for extracting, analysing, and interpreting financial data from annual reports and other structured/unstructured sources. You will play a pivotal role in advancing our AI-based financial data analysis software by developing machine learning models, natural language processing (NLP) pipelines, and scalable cloud-based solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Strong expertise in Python (advanced) and R for data analysis and ML model development.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Proficiency in Natural Language Processing (NLP), including entity extraction, document summarization, embeddings, and LLM-based fine-tuning.
  • Familiarity with OCR tools (Amazon Textract, Tesseract, PyMuPDF, PDFPlumber).
  • Cloud expertise in AWS (S3, Textract, SageMaker, Lambda, Step Functions) and Microsoft Azure ML services.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL), including stored procedures, query optimization, and indexing.
  • Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Basic understanding of finance domain concepts, including financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Notes to Accounts).
  • Skills in API development and integration (REST, FastAPI, Flask).
  • Proficiency with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills :

  • Experience in large language models (LLMs) and prompt engineering for financial document analysis.
  • Knowledge of time-series forecasting and financial ratio analysis models.
  • Familiarity with MLOps frameworks for production-grade deployments.
  • Background in statistical modelling, econometrics, or quantitative finance.
  • Experience in automated data quality checks and anomaly detection.
