Overview: The Customer Support Computer Hardware & Network Engineer plays a crucial role in providing technical support and resolving hardware and network issues for customers. They are essential in ensuring that our customers receive prompt and effective assistance to maintain their computer hardware and network infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer hardware and network issues
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and network problems
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and network devices
  • Collaborate with customers to understand and address their hardware and network requirements
  • Document technical solutions and create knowledge base articles
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide timely resolutions
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through efficient and effective support
  • Perform hardware and network system upgrades and repairs
  • Test and evaluate new hardware and network technologies
  • Train customers on hardware and network best practices
  • Participate in on-call support and maintenance activities
  • Adhere to security and compliance standards
  • Contribute to the improvement of support processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and technical issues
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in customer support and technical troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated expertise in computer hardware and network diagnostics and repairs
  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of hardware and network security best practices
  • Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate on-call support and maintenance
  • Understanding of virtualization and cloud technologies is a plus
  • Ability to adapt to evolving hardware and network technologies
