Q way Technologies Hiring for IVR Medical Coding

Location: Chennai

Role: Hybrid

Requirements: CPC or AAPC certification; IVR coding

IVR Medical Coder: Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assign appropriate CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) and ICD-10-CM (International Classification of Diseases) codes for all IVR procedures.
  • Code diagnoses, procedures, and services accurately based on physician documentation, imaging reports, and operative notes.

  • Ensure coding aligns with CMS, CPT, ICD-10 guidelines, and payer-specific rules.

  • Maintain compliance with healthcare laws, HIPAA privacy regulations, and payer requirements.

  • Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines, reimbursement policies, and medical terminology related to IVR.

  • Participate in audits and ensure coding accuracy to avoid billing denials or fraud.

  • Review clinical documentation for completeness and clarity to support accurate coding.

  • Query physicians or healthcare providers for missing or unclear documentation related to IVR cases.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve documentation quality.
