Role Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist with experience in the Canadian healthcare system. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of provincial billing systems (e.g., OHIP, MSP, AHCIP, RAMQ, etc.) and medical terminology, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process claims submission accurately and timely to provincial health insurance plans and private insurers.

• Review patient charts, physician notes, and coding for completeness and accuracy.

• Follow up on claim rejections/denials and resolve billing issues.

• Handle patient billing inquiries in a professional manner.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Canadian healthcare billing guidelines and compliance regulations.

• Generate and review billing reports for accuracy and reconciliation.

• Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and insurance providers to ensure smooth revenue cycle management.

Qualifications:

• Atleast 5+ years of experience in Canadian medical billing is required.

• Familiarity with provincial insurance systems (OHIP, MSP, AHCIP, RAMQ, etc.).

• Knowledge of ICD-10-CA, CCI, or equivalent coding standards is an asset.

• Strong communication and client-handling skills.

• Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.

• Proficiency in MS Office and medical billing software.
