We are now seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to strengthen our finance and compliance operations.

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the entire spectrum of accounting, taxation, and statutory compliance functions of the company. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth expertise in construction-related financial management, including project accounting, cost control, vendor management, and compliance under GST, TDS, ESI, and PF regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, project costing, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Oversee project-wise accounting, ensuring proper allocation of costs and revenues.
  • Prepare and file GST returns, perform reconciliations, and manage input tax credit.
  • Handle TDS computation, deduction, and filing, ensuring statutory deadlines are met.
  • Administer ESI and PF compliance, including employee contributions and timely remittances.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, cash flow reports, and management summaries.
  • Coordinate with external and internal auditors for audits and assessments.
  • Ensure strong internal financial controls and adherence to company policies.
  • Liaise with banks, vendors, consultants, and statutory authorities.
  • Support senior management with financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (CA Inter preferred but not mandatory).
  • Minimum 10 years of accounting experience in the construction or real estate sector (residential projects preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, ESI, PF, and other statutory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and other accounting software.
  • Hands-on experience in project cost management, contractor billing, and vendor reconciliation.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a small finance team effectively.
