Purpose of Role:

Universal Music has a mature, albeit it highly bespoke, Supply Chain solution (PTP & OTC) for the distribution of physical music products from a central hub in Europe. A new project has been initiated to develop a Supply Chain solution for the distribution of Merchandise products from a dedicated central hub in Europe. The intention is to replicate / leverage the existing 'Music' solution for the 'Merchandise products' and alter the solution to cater for the Merchandise specific requirements whilst at the same time not impacting the existing Music solution.

The candidate will join a strong SAP ECC team. The SAP ECC Solution Architect will be responsible for understanding the existing Music solution and designing the new Merchandise specific solution. This will involve close cooperation with multiple parties including FICO, OTC, Development (ABAP), Integration and Basis architects, Business process owners, vendors, and system integrators.

Core skills
  • Creating and maintaining architectural standards and blueprints
  • Able to identify SAP best practice solutions to complex problems
  • Extensive SAP solution design experience in the PTP area pertaining to procurement, Inventory and Invoicing
  • Hands on configuration experience of PTP including Master Data, Procurement, Pricing, Invoicing, Account Assignment etc.
  • Strong understanding of integration with OTC & Finance
  • Understanding of HANA DB and proficient in ABAP debugging
  • Knowledge of process orchestration via the use of job schedulers
  • Design and facilitate the delivery of complex interfaces including custom IDocs and middleware transformations
  • Worked in Activate, Agile & Waterfall project settings
  • Exposure to project tools such as JIRA, Monday, Confluence, SharePoint, MS Teams, Service Now ticketing system
Person Specification
  • Ten years of SAP experience of which at least three years with SAP ECC PTP.
  • Entertainment or media industry exposure an advantage
  • Aptitude for learning new technologies and a desire to research and understand new areas of SAP
  • Strong communication & presentation skills and an ability to engage with and inspire confidence across all levels of the business up to "C" level stakeholders
  • Experience of working in a global environment
  • Demonstrable experience of flexibility and adaptability to fast-changing and competing priorities
  • Working to tight deadlines and at pace
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Consulting background will be an advantage
