Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Accounts & Finance Lead to oversee financial operations across our India and global entities. The role requires expertise in regulatory compliance, book-keeping, ESOPs administration, audits, cost optimization, and leadership of both the internal accounts team and external audit/consulting partners. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic financial acumen and strong operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Bookkeeping

  • Lead end-to-end accounting operations (AP, AR, payroll, GL, reconciliations, tax provisions).
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Indian statutory requirements (Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, PF, ESIC, etc.) and applicable global regulations (UK, US, Dubai, Singapore).
  • Manage filings, returns, and statutory reporting with relevant authorities.
  • Coordinate with legal/tax advisors for cross-border compliance.

Audit & Governance

  • Liaise with external and internal auditors; ensure smooth statutory, tax, and internal audits.
  • Implement strong internal controls, policies, and SOPs for financial governance.
  • Present key findings and audit readiness to the management/board.

ESOPs & Shareholder Management

  • Administer Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) including grant, vesting, and reporting.
  • Ensure proper documentation, valuation, and compliance with corporate governance requirements.
  • Provide financial insights to management/board on ESOP impact.

Cost Optimization & Business Support

  • Drive cost saving initiatives across operations, vendor contracts, and procurement.
  • Provide financial analysis and decision support for business units.
  • Support pricing, profitability analysis, and investment decisions.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor internal finance/accounts team across India locations.
  • Coordinate with global finance counterparts for consolidated reporting.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, consultants, and banks.

Key Requirements

  • Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA / MBA (Finance).
  • Experience: 812 years of progressive experience in finance & accounts, preferably in IT/Technology/Services sector with global operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian regulatory framework and exposure to international tax/compliance (UK/US/Dubai/Singapore preferred).
  • Proven track record in audits, financial governance, and compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with ESOP management.
  • Excellent financial analysis, cost control, and reporting skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency with ERP/finance systems (SAP/Tally) and MS Excel
