About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Data Research Analyst to support our e-commerce operations. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting large sets of data to help optimize sales performance, customer experience, product strategy, and marketing efficiency across all online platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Collection & Research

  • Conduct market and competitor research across e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, brand websites, etc.).
  • Track pricing, discounts, product rankings, and category trends.
  • Research keywords, customer queries, and SEO opportunities.
  • Build and maintain databases of SKUs, product attributes, and market benchmarks.

2. Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze sales reports, traffic, conversions, ROAS, CAC, and customer behavior trends.
  • Create weekly and monthly dashboards to highlight performance insights.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities in product assortment, pricing, and campaigns.
  • Support inventory forecasting with data-driven recommendations.

3. Performance Tracking

  • Monitor product performance across marketplaces and website (CTR, CVR, impressions, add-to-cart, returns rate).
  • Track marketplace algorithm changes and assess impact on listings.
  • Analyze marketing campaigns to understand channel contribution.

4. Reporting & Visualisation

  • Prepare clear, structured reports for management and cross-functional teams.
  • Present actionable insights and suggestions to improve e-commerce performance.
  • Maintain Excel/Sheets-based trackers and automated reports.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the e-commerce, marketing, operations, and supply chain teams.
  • Share data insights to support product development, planning, and customer experience initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in
    Excel/Google Sheets
    (advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
  • Experience with
    data analysis tools
    like SQL, Tableau, Power BI (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Ability to interpret large data sets and convert them into meaningful insights.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience in
    e-commerce, D2C, or marketplace analytics
    is a plus.
