Chief Technology Officer (CTO) (On fractional basis)

Location: Navi Mumbai

Reporting To :MD & CEO

Position Overview:

UTIITSL is looking for a dynamic, visionary, and strong-willed Chief Technology Officer to spearhead its digital transformation journey. The CTO will be responsible for designing and executing a future-ready technology roadmap to strengthen the organizations leadership in technology infrastructure and services.

The ideal candidate will be a transformational leader with deep technical expertise, sound business understanding, and the ability to align complex IT initiatives with strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the formulation and implementation of a progressive technology strategy, integrating AI, ML, Generative AI, and other new-age technologies (like blockchain).
• Establish and oversee IT governance frameworks, ensuring strong data security, information management, and regulatory compliance.
• Align IT programs with the companys long-term vision and business goals, maximizing value from technology investments.
• Drive data analytics capabilities to enable insight-driven decision-making across the organization.
• Develop robust cybersecurity practices to protect critical assets and stakeholder data.
• Manage large IT budgets efficiently and ensure optimal utilization of resources.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the technology function.
• Influence, engage, and align multiple stakeholders within and outside the organization to ensure buy-in and seamless execution of initiatives.
• Serve as a credible voice with business leaders, partners, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors/Master's Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in senior IT leadership roles, preferably in BFSI, e-governance, or regulated public sector environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing AI, ML, Generative AI, and advanced data analytics.
• Extensive experience in managing large IT budgets, vendor relationships, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Proven success in building strong governance frameworks and data security practices.
