The Opportunity
We're looking for curious and innovative QA Engineers with experience in system testing, automation development and test execution to qualify our NCM product/features.

Engineering / R&D at Nutanix
The role is tasked with test planning, test case development, and test execution strategy to assess and improve the overall quality, performance & scale of our products. This requires close collaboration with Development, UI/UX engineers, functional QA and the PM team. The role encompasses influencing product design by leveraging the broad knowledge of the product portfolio and ensuring a quality-first mindset.

Your Role

• Design test plan and test case development for performance, load & scale testing of NCM products.
• Define an automation plan and test strategy within release timelines.
• End-to-end product quality ownership with all aspects of the test, automation, and delivery of the feature set.
• Improve existing automated tests and overall automated test execution efficiency.
• Maintain a high overall quality index (QI) for the product/features at all times.
• The ability to delve deeper into debugging product issues with development engineers.
• Involve providing active feedback to improve the overall product experience.
• Debugging, filing bugs, and tracking them to closure.

What You Will Bring

• Minimum of yrs of experience in QA, performance / load/ scale testing, Automation using Python/Perl/C/C++/Java (python preferred)
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent field.
• Testing experience with microservice integration and interaction.
• Experience with performance/ load/ scale test automation using open source frameworks or commercial tools.
• Good working knowledge of Linux and Distributed Systems.
• Working knowledge of virtualization - VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as GIT, build management tools, and Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins/CircleCI.
• Detail-oriented, self-driven, and good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, monitoring, and cloud products is a plus.
• Performance testing on docker/ containers / K8 environments is a big plus.
• Experience with performance/ load/ scale testing tools/ frameworks like JMeter/ LoadRunner/ etc.
• Experience with Python API test framework development.
• Experience with UI automation using selenium webdriver.

The NCM QA team is responsible for end-to-end quality of NCM & AIOps features. NCM offers hosting unified solution for providing range of Nutanix premium features like intelligent operations, self-service and orchestration, security compliance & visibility, and control of cloud costs. AIOps offers Codeless task automation, Automated optimization, Capacity usage and scenario analysis and distributed analytics software that will allow gathering of metrics and events from Nutanix infrastructure, Data Center and Cloud and ingest into on-prem and cloud repositories. The Analytics Platform powers all the machine learning, automation and monitoring capabilities of the Nutanix AIOPs systems. NCM QA team is distributed across US & India and constitutes diversified skillsets & talent, well guided by strong leadership.

I am Tarish, seasoned QA manager with vast experience in managing & delivering QA for enterprise class products; managing teams with diverse sizes, workforce and geographies. I have experience in strategizing, planning & delivering ground up product products & features with great focus on interoperability and heterogeneous platform support.

I am regarded as an open & honest manager, enabling individuals to be autonomous & owners, a good mentor who cares for overall growth of the team and foster great team culture & bonding. I am looking forward to welcome strong individuals to make my team stronger and grow.

How We Work
We have a hybrid work model where you will visit the office twice a week currently. This allows for a good balance between in-person collaboration and remote work to accommodate low commute time accommodating better work-life balance. We also have a no meeting day of week, to enabled undivided focus.
