Job Summary:

We are looking for a
skilled and experienced Wikipedia Content Writer
to create, edit, and maintain
Wikipedia pages for our university/institute
. The ideal candidate should have a
strong understanding of international university or institutional content
, with proven experience in handling Wikipedia pages that meet global academic standards.

This role demands deep research capability, attention to accuracy, and adherence to
Wikipedia's guidelines on notability, neutrality, and verifiability
. The candidate will be responsible for developing credible, well-referenced pages and keeping them regularly updated with institutional developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, edit, and publish
    Wikipedia pages
    for our
    university/institute
    as per Wikipedia's editorial and citation standards.
  • Conduct
    comprehensive research
    using verified, credible academic and media sources.
  • Maintain and update pages with new
    programs, rankings, global collaborations, and achievements.
  • Ensure all content meets
    Wikipedia's neutrality, accuracy, and copyright guidelines.
  • Monitor edits, discussions, and flags on Wikipedia to ensure page stability and credibility.
  • Collaborate with
    academic, marketing, and PR teams
    for approved and verified information.
  • Manage associated profiles on
    Wikidata and related online knowledge platforms.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in
    creating or maintaining live Wikipedia pages
    (portfolio or page links required).
  • Strong understanding of
    Wikipedia's notability, formatting, and referencing rules.
  • Prior experience working with
    international universities, institutes, or EdTech organizations.
  • Excellent research, writing, and editorial skills with attention to factual accuracy.
  • Familiarity with
    academic and institutional tone
    of communication.
  • Must be
    comfortable working from the office (Noida)
    .

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's in
    English, Journalism, Communications, or Education Management.
  • Prior experience writing content for
    international academic institutions
    or
    global higher education collaborations.
  • Knowledge of
    SEO, ORM, and digital reputation management
    will be an advantage.
