Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence (BI) solutions that support healthcare revenue cycle operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in RCM workflows (charges, payments, denials, AR, etc.), data integration, and reporting/visualization tools. This role involves working closely with operations, client services, and IT teams to provide actionable insights that drive revenue optimization, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • BI Development & Reporting

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports for RCM functions such as charge capture, payment posting, denials management, AR follow-up, and collections.

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for BI solutions.

  • Develop data models and ensure accuracy, scalability, and performance of BI reports.

  • Data Management & Integration

  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various healthcare systems such as PMS, EMR/EHR, clearinghouses, and third-party applications.

  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA).

  • Automate data pipelines and standardize reporting across multiple clients and practice groups.

  • Analytics & Insights

  • Analyze RCM KPIs such as DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), denial rates, collection rates, clean claim rates, and payer performance.

  • Provide actionable insights to operations, finance, and client leadership to improve revenue cycle outcomes.

  • Support predictive analytics and trend analysis for proactive decision-making.

  • Collaboration & Support

  • Work with RCM operations teams (charge entry, payment posting, AR calling, denial management) to understand reporting needs.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to ensure BI solutions align with organizational goals.
  • Provide training and support for end-users of BI tools and dashboards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, or Data Engineer in a healthcare RCM environment.
  • Strong understanding of RCM processes: charge capture, claim submission, payment posting, denials, AR follow-up, collections, and payer contracting.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management (MS SQL Server, Oracle, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or SSRS.
  • Experience with ETL tools and data warehousing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data visualization skills.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data privacy standards.
