Job Description: Data Archiving Expert Opentext InfoArchive (Contractual Position)

Position: Data Archiving Expert – Opentext InfoArchive

Contract Duration: 1 Year (with high possibility of extension)

Total Experience Required: 10–12 Years

Work Location: PAN India (Fully Remote or Hybrid – Either acceptable)

Shift Timing: 7:30 PM – 3:30 AM IST (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST / Canada)

Start Date: Immediate Joiners

About the Role

We are looking to hire an experienced Data Archiving Expert with strong hands-on expertise in Opentext InfoArchive and enterprise data transformation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale data archival solutions while ensuring compliance, performance, and data integrity across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and implement Opentext InfoArchive-based data archiving solutions.
  • Lead end-to-end data transformation and migration activities from legacy or current systems to InfoArchive.
  • Develop and optimize archival workflows, data models, retention rules, and retrieval strategies.
  • Work with business and technical teams to define archiving requirements, policies, and SLA-driven processes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational data retention and governance frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot archiving, indexing, extraction, and retrieval issues in production environments.
  • Perform performance tuning of archiving processes and ensure efficient storage utilization.
  • Prepare documentation, deployment checklists, and technical artifacts related to InfoArchive solutions.
  • Provide ongoing operational support, monitoring, and issue resolution for archiving platforms.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams across time zones (Canada CST shift alignment).

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10–12 years of total experience in enterprise IT, including:

  • Data transformation

  • Data archiving / decommissioning

  • Enterprise content/records management

  • Strong hands-on expertise with Opentext InfoArchive (must-have).

  • Deep understanding of XML/JSON data structures, schema mapping, metadata design, and indexing.
  • Experience with SQL/PL-SQL, relational databases, ETL processes, and data quality validation.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, compliance rules, and archiving best practices.
  • Experience with modern integration frameworks, APIs, and secure data transfer methods.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid model.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with related OpenText technologies (e.g., Documentum, xDB, xPlore)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data archival approaches
  • Experience in regulated industries (BFSI, healthcare, telecom)
