Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant / Research Assistant to support our agricultural research and product development activities. The ideal candidate will assist in conducting laboratory experiments, maintaining accurate records, analyzing samples, and supporting field trials to ensure quality and innovation in agricultural solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing, conducting, and monitoring laboratory and field experiments related to soil, fertilizer, seed, and crop analysis.
  • Collect and test samples (fertilizer, pesticide, etc.) following standard protocols.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with safety standards.
  • Record, analyze, and compile experimental data for reporting and documentation purposes.
  • Support senior scientists and agronomists in ongoing research and product testing activities.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the lab and maintain proper inventory of chemicals, tools, and testing materials.
  • Assist in developing and improving agricultural formulations, including bio-fertilizers, pesticides, and growth enhancers.
  • Prepare technical reports, test summaries, and support documentation for product approvals and quality checks.
  • Follow all lab safety guidelines and ensure compliance with company and government regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, Soil Science, Plant Science, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • Prior experience (0–2 years) in an agricultural or industrial lab setup preferred.
  • Basic understanding of lab instruments such as pH meter, spectrophotometer, moisture analyzer, etc.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and handling data.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and time management skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of soil nutrient analysis, plant growth studies, or fertilizer formulation.
  • Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Ability to assist in field research trials and product testing.
