Role: R&D Engineer – Embedded Hardware Engineer.

Location:
Bangalore, Karnataka. India.

Employment Type:
Full-Time, On-Site.

Responsibilities:


• Conceive, Design, Lead the electronics architecture, modules & roadmap development for testability, unit characterization & qualifications.


• Propose & Own the execution planning by optimizing for COTS free state components / sub-systems selection involving Embedded Systems such as Analog IC, ASICs & PCBAs.


•
System-level design
: Own system-level, HW-SW integration involving multi-board architecture & signal/power distributions.


• Coordinate with Chip design, Test Engineering & Systems Development teams to accommodate engineering requirements in designs.


• Apply quantitative analysis in determining root cause of highly technical problems & propose, develop & implement solutions for corrective action(s).

Experience / Qualifications:


• 2-3 years of prior work experience,
preferred
.


•
MS or PhD
in Electronics, Biomedical/Instrumentation Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, VLSI or related engineering fields.


• Strong expertise in microcontroller/FPGA architecture, peripheral configuration & application integration.


•
Sound understanding
of Multilayer PCB layout best practices for Signal Integrity, High-Speed routing, & EMI/EMC mitigation.


• Expertise with
at least TWO
of PCB design tools, such as Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer, KiCad or Autodesk EAGLE.


•
Hands-on Experience:
Soldering (BGA/LGA), Oscilloscopes, Wafer Probes, ESD grounding, LD Drivers, Detectors, Power Meters, Wavelength Meter, VNAs, SOC Development kits etc.


• Skilled in Analog circuit design using Op-Amps (comparators, filters), interfacing with ADC/DAC.


• Practical knowledge of DC-DC power supply design (buck converters), power sequencing, protection circuits (e.g.: over-voltage, under-voltage, short-circuit) & thermal design.


• Programming Skills: C++, Python.


• Knowledge of Amplifiers (Transimpedance, Lock-in), Voltage/Current Drivers is a plus.


•
Experience
with communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, RS-485 & UART etc.


• Prior experience in Optics, Sensors, Silicon Photonics is ideal.


• Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Strong analytical & detail oriented problem-solving skills.


• Proven
team playe
r executing effectively across departments & time zones in complex projects & ability to work under limited direction.


• Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities & deliver against a schedule.
