Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled
QA Automation Engineer
with hands-on experience in
Java
,
Selenium WebDriver
, and
REST API automation
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automation test scripts for both UI and API layers of our web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute automated tests using
    Java + Selenium
    for Web UI testing.
  • Develop and maintain REST API automation frameworks (e.g., using
    RestAssured
    ,
    Postman
    , or similar).
  • Create comprehensive test strategies and plans for web and API testing.
  • Analyze test results, debug issues, and work with developers to resolve defects.
  • Integrate test suites into the CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Ensure automation scripts are robust, reusable, and maintainable.
  • Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in test automation practices and tools.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong programming skills in
    Java
    (core and advanced concepts).
  • Proficient in
    Selenium WebDriver
    for web automation.
  • Experience in
    REST API testing
    using tools like:
  • RestAssured
    (preferred)
  • Postman
  • SOAP UI
  • Solid understanding of HTTP, JSON, RESTful services.
  • Experience with
    TestNG
    ,
    JUnit
    , or similar test frameworks.
  • Experience with
    Maven/Gradle
    ,
    Git
    , and
    Jenkins
    or other CI/CD tools.
  • Good understanding of software development life cycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with BDD tools (e.g.,
    Cucumber
    ).
  • Exposure to cloud-based test execution platforms (e.g.,
    BrowserStack
    ,
    Sauce Labs
    ).
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools like
    JMeter
    is a plus.
  • Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a bonus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
