Industrial Designer – Kaban (Full-Time, On-Site, Gurgaon)

Role Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Industrial Designer Intern who is eager to learn, experiment, and contribute to our D2C lifestyle brand. This is a hands-on, full-time, on-site internship based in Gurgaon, where you'll collaborate closely with the design team to create innovative, functional, and aesthetic bag designs from concept to prototype.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):

1. Product Design & Development

Assist in brainstorming and developing concepts, sketches, and 3D models for new products.

Support the team in material selection, product detailing, and prototyping.

Explore innovative solutions for functionality, ergonomics, and usability in bag designs.

Participate in the product lifecycle from ideation to pre-production.

2. Creative Visualisation & Prototyping

Prepare technical drawings, mockups, and CAD models to communicate design intent.

Collaborate with suppliers and prototyping teams to create functional prototypes.

Research and recommend innovative materials, finishes, and construction techniques.

3. Design Research & Trend Analysis

Study consumer needs, market trends, and competitor products to identify opportunities for innovation.

Stay updated on the latest developments in industrial design, materials, and manufacturing processes.

4. Collaboration & Team Support

Work closely with senior designers and cross-functional teams including marketing, production, and operations.

Provide creative input and support in branding, packaging design, and content creation where needed.

5. Learning & Growth

Gain hands-on exposure to the direct-to-consumer (D2C) product development process.

Learn about user-centered design principles and real-world manufacturing constraints.

Take initiative in expanding knowledge of industrial design tools, materials, and technologies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.

Basic knowledge of design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, Rhino, or similar.

Strong sketching, ideation, and visualization skills.

Passion for functional product design and attention to detail.

Ability to adapt, learn quickly, and contribute in a collaborative team environment.

Interest in bags, lifestyle products, and outdoor gear is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹21, ₹30,000.00 per month
