Position Overview :

We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Analyst to join our dynamic Data & Analytics team at NxtWave. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional business units to collect, analyze, and visualize data that supports strategic decision-making.

This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about data-driven insights, eager to learn advanced analytical tools, and looking to build a strong foundation in business intelligence and analytics.

Key Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with business teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.

- Perform data cleaning, transformation, and validation to ensure consistency and accuracy.

- Build and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and dashboards to monitor performance metrics.

- Support in designing visualizations and dashboards using tools like Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI.

- Write and execute basic SQL queries (preferably in BigQuery) to extract and manipulate datasets.

- Assist senior analysts in ad-hoc data requests and ongoing reporting initiatives.

- Ensure compliance with data governance and confidentiality standards.

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize data processes and automate manual reporting tasks.

- Stay current with emerging trends in analytics, visualization, and data engineering.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Strong proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, etc.).

- Basic working knowledge of Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar BI tools.

- Foundational understanding of SQL and relational databases (BigQuery experience preferred).

- Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and presentation skills to summarize data insights clearly.

- Enthusiastic learner with a growth mindset and adaptability to fast-paced environments.

- Familiarity with Python or DBT for data transformation is an added advantage.

Nice to Have :

- Exposure to data pipelines, ETL processes, or data modeling concepts.

- Basic understanding of statistics, A/B testing, or data visualization principles.

- Experience with collaborative tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Git.
