IT Engineer

Storage Management:

o Administer and maintain company storage infrastructure, including SAN, NAS, and cloud-based storage solutions ( AZURE Storage ), SAN Switches and Zoning.o Monitor and optimize storage performance and capacity to ensure efficient usage.

o Ensure data is stored securely and in compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

o Collaborate with other IT teams to design and implement storage solutions based on the company's needs.

• Backup and Recovery Management:

o Configure, schedule, and perform regular backups of critical data using automated backup systems.

o Test and validate backup processes to ensure data integrity and availability.

o Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, ensuring that backups are accessible for quick data restoration in the event of a failure.

o Monitor and troubleshoot backup jobs, addressing any failures or issues promptly.

o Ensure proper off-site or cloud backups for business continuity.

• Security and Compliance:

o Implement security measures for backup data, including encryption, access control, and regular audits.

o Ensure that backups are in compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.

o Work with compliance teams to prepare for audits and reporting of storage and backup data.

• Reporting and Documentation:

o Generate and maintain regular reports on storage utilization, backup status, and recovery testing.

o Document backup procedures, policies, and troubleshooting steps.

o Provide recommendations for continuous improvement based on storage and backup performance.

• Collaboration and Support:

o Collaborate with other teams to identify and resolve storage-related issues or requirements.

o Provide support for data restoration requests and ensure efficient recovery times.

o Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data storage and backup solutions.
