Job Description

We are currently looking for a Vice President of Technology with a specialization in Real World Data (RWD), you will play a critical role in shaping the technology strategy, architecture, and development of our platform services for Real World Data (RWD) in Clarivate's Life Sciences and Healthcare division. Your leadership will be pivotal in leveraging RWD to advance our mission to empower Clarivate and our customers by providing simple, immediate, secure, and controlled access to Clarivate's RWD and expertise.

About You experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 5-10 years in technology leadership roles within the Life Sciences and Healthcare industry, with a strong focus on Real World Data.
  • Must have expertise in creating/developing RWD platforms.
  • Expert in Cloud based technologies like AWS.
  • Strong pedigree in data architecture
  • Should be able to deliver Value/Intelligence through RWD platforms to Clients/ Stakeholders.
It would be great if you also have:
  • Should have knowledge and experience in building/developing RWD applications.
What will you be doing in this role? Technology Leadership:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Develop and execute the technology roadmap, aligning it with the company's overarching strategic goals and objectives.
Real World Data (RWD):
  • Lead the implementation of RWD strategies and solutions to collect, analyse, and utilize real-world patient data effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure RWD is integrated into research, analytics, and decision-making processes.
Data Architecture and Governance:
  • Help define and maintain a robust data architecture that ensures the collection, storage, and analysis of RWD adhere to industry best practices and data privacy regulations.
Innovation and Research:
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in RWD, data analytics, and healthcare.
  • Drive research and development initiatives to create cutting-edge solutions that address industry challenges and advance the use of RWD.
Team Management:
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing technology team, providing guidance and professional development opportunities to team members.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth within the technology department.
Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost-effectiveness in technology initiatives related to RWD.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners to ensure technology initiatives align with business goals and client needs in the context of RWD.
AI, Innovation and Research:
  • Challenge how we deliver our RWD assets and provide a deeper understanding of our data through the use of AI.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in RWD, data analytics, and healthcare.
  • Drive research and development initiatives to create cutting-edge solutions that address industry challenges and advance the use of RWD.
About the Team

The stakeholders for the role are Analytics team, Application Teams on the business side, Enterprise Solutions Teams and other Cross-Functional Internal IT Teams, External Vendors and Partners. Currently team consists of 30 engineers and is expected to grow.

  • Fulltime 40 h/week, Hybrid working model, Location: Bangalore
