Job description:

Manpower Planning

  1. Develop annual manpower and recruitment plan based on departmental/project needs at the start of every financial year. Ensure on time recruitment of suitable and capable people at all levels as per requirement.

  2. Based on manpower plan prepare budget and incorporate as part of overall HR budget for the year.

  3. Redeployment of people for building their capabilities.

  4. Discuss the same with Management Team and finalize.

Recruitment & Selection

  1. Prepare recruitment plan based on manpower plan.

2.Identify the mode of recruitment whether advertisement through print, electronic media, E- Search or through consultant.

  1. Prepare and get approval from Management Team for the advertisement matter.

  2. Sourcing of candidates' CV and ensures that they meet the Job specification.

  3. Facilitate for technical interview.

  4. Conducting interviews and assess functional, behavioural and leadership competencies of the candidates.

  5. Guide HR team and ensure effective implementation of the recruitment process.

  6. Recommend suitable candidates to Management Team.

  7. Ensure appropriate reference checks and antecedent verifications where ever necessary.

Joining Formalities &Induction

  1. Follow Joining formalities policy for new joinee.

  2. Follow induction policy for new joinee.

  3. Ensure effective implementation by documentary evidences.

  4. Directly handle manager level inductions.

  5. Enable the new joinees to understand the company and settle down quickly in their jobs.

  6. Establish and maintain system for evaluating effectiveness of induction.

  7. Review and evaluate effectiveness of Induction and provide feedback to the new incumbent and the inducting managers.

Compensation Management

  1. Ensure salary processing is done on time and accurately.

  2. Review of wages every year and recommend suitable compensation to Management Team according to changes in regulation, if any, and market conditions.

  3. Seek approval and incorporate in overall compensation budget.

  4. Track ongoing budget and ensure maintenance of budget within limits.

  5. Ensure fixation of increments based on capabilities assessed during performance appraisal for employees and staffs.

Employee Relations

  1. Interact with employees at all levels and understand their background, family, motivation, satisfaction level, etc.

  2. Facilitate cordial relations between employees and Management, work towards enhancing team work and cooperation.

  3. Identify issues / problem areas in employee relations and address the same on time.

  4. To ensure that employees at the site feel they are part of the organization and to ensure that their skills are constantly upgraded.

  5. To work towards reducing absenteeism and improving discipline.

  6. To support project team effectively to complete projects on time.

Statutory Compliance

  1. Establish suitable systems and processes of compliance to statutory requirements.

  2. Knowledge in Factories Act, BOCW Act and Shop and Establishment Acts

  3. Train the appropriate personnel in HR to follow the process/ system and maintain necessary documents, records, filing returns and making payments on time.

  4. Report employee strength, attendance, PF Coverage, ESI Coverage, overtime details, employee cost planning and its related expenses to Management.

  5. Report the updates, if any, in the statutory requirement to the management.

  6. Co-ordinate with external consultants and ensure monthly / Quarterly / Half year registers and records are in place at respective sites and address the Client audits in a positive trend and avoid NCR's on compliances part.

  7. Enable periodic audit of compliance and ensure that corrective and preventive action is taken in case of any non-compliance

  8. Responsible for facing external audits and interfacing with statutory authorities. Ensure that their queries are answered and maintain a cordial relationship with them

Labour Management

  1. Collect details of the new labour gangs engaged at site.

  2. Ensure Aadhaar, Address and ID proofs are collected for all the labour gangs at site

  3. Receive weekly labour attendance from all sites for checking the mandays for respective labour payments.

  4. Check for availability Time cards for all the individual labours of respective sites with the required details and approvals of the site manager / Store Incharges

  5. Check for miss-match of manday's details between individual time card and Labour Attendance register

  6. Ensure / Cross check all the labour gang's wage rates are as per the approved labour order of respective sites

  7. Based on the wage rate and man days arrive at the payment head count statement for the said period for all the sites individually

  8. Based on Head count sheet of individual sites prepare the payment consolidation to be paid to Arunagiri Enterprises

  9. Periodical submission of the payment schedule to management for approval and ensure disbursement of the same is done to the respective gangs of respective sites.

Training and Development

  1. Ensure appropriate identification of training needs for employees by the Project heads/Department headduring Performance appraisal, skill mapping and for taking higher responsibilities

  2. Review training needs for individuals and ensure its necessity.

  3. Evolve training plan in annual training calendar and finalize both internal and external training as well as on the job training programmes.

  4. Train internally as and when required.

  5. Review and finalize training resource both internal and external and evaluate capabilities of such resources.

  6. Ensure implementation of training as per plan and insist the trainees on proper participation.

  7. Evaluate effectiveness of training programmes and track skill development.

  8. Provide constructive feedback to trainees and trainers.

  9. Summarize training effectiveness and present the same to the Management team.

  10. Continually improve training policy as and when required.
