Oracle Cloud VBCS Technical Consultant

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Oracle Cloud VBCS Consultant to join our expanding Managed Services team in India. This role is key to supporting and enhancing our offshore capability, working closely with our UK-based colleagues to deliver innovative, high-quality managed services for our clients.

As a Technical Specialist, you will play a hands-on role in designing, building, and supporting Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) solutions. Strong expertise in VBCS across both basic and advanced modes is essential, including extending Oracle Redwood UX applications, developing custom UIs, and integrating with Oracle Cloud services. You will also be expected to support controlled release adoption of Redwood and VBCS features, ensure compliance with change control processes, and explore AI-driven capabilities in Oracle Cloud to deliver value-added solutions for clients.

You will:

• Act as a senior Oracle Cloud Technical support Consultant, working hands-on to triage, diagnose, and resolve client issues across Oracle Cloud applications.
• Design, build, and support solutions using Oracle VBCS (basic and advanced modes) and Redwood UX extensions, ensuring compatibility with evolving Oracle design standards.
• OCI setup and configuration activities such as provisioning VBCS environments, managing environment lifecycles, and configuring CI/CD pipelines to support efficient development and deployment.
• Partner with clients to support controlled release rollouts of Redwood and VBCS features, performing impact analysis, regression testing, and supporting adoption planning.
• Explore and implement AI-driven features and automation capabilities within Oracle Cloud, helping clients leverage new innovations effectively.
• Prepare and maintain clear technical documentation, including troubleshooting steps, solution design notes, and internal knowledge base materials.
• Contribute to quarterly system update cycles, including impact assessment, testing, and deployment support.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction through effective and timely technical support.
• Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to junior team members, including delivering training sessions and contributing to their development.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in India and the UK to ensure seamless knowledge sharing, consistent processes, and cross-regional alignment.

Skills and Experience (Mandatory):

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Cloud technical consultant/developer.
• Strong expertise in Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) both basic and advanced modes including building custom UIs and Redwood extensions.
• You have extensive experience in designing and delivering integration solutions using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
• Hands-on experience with controlled release adoption of Redwood and VBCS features, ensuring readiness through testing and stakeholder communication.
• Proven ability to follow change control and release management processes in managed service environments.
• Proven experience in OCI setup and configuration, including provisioning and managing VBCS environments.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline configuration and automation for Oracle VBCS deployments (e.g., Git, Jenkins, or equivalent tools).
• Experience in designing and delivering integration solutions using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), SOA, and API products.
• Expertise in integrating SaaS applications and on-premises application software.
• Good understanding of Oracle ERP/HCM Cloud database structures and configuration.
• Proven experience in a client-facing role, with strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a multi-tasked managed services environment, taking ownership of issues while escalating appropriately.
• Flexible and adaptable to support innovative and emerging Oracle technologies.
• Familiarity with rapid deployment methodologies and Agile delivery approaches.

Skills and Experience (Desirable):

• Hands-on experience with BI Publisher, HCM Extracts, Approval Workflows, Fast Formulas, OIC integrations, and FAW reporting.
• Exposure to AI-powered analytics, chatbots, or machine learning integrations within Oracle Cloud applications.
