The Web Application Penetration Tester will be responsible for assessing the security posture of client web applications by simulating real-world cyberattacks. You will identify vulnerabilities, exploit weaknesses where necessary, and provide clear, actionable recommendations to strengthen security controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct web application penetration tests using industry-standard methodologies (OWASP, PTES, NIST).

  • Perform manual and automated testing to identify vulnerabilities such as SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, authentication/authorisation flaws, and misconfigurations.

  • Document findings with detailed technical reports and executive summaries tailored to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with development teams to validate findings and support remediation efforts.

  • Stay current with the latest vulnerabilities, exploitation techniques, and threat landscapes.

  • Assist in developing and refining internal pentesting methodologies, tools, and frameworks.

  • Conduct re-tests to ensure vulnerabilities are effectively remediated.

Job Type: Freelance

Contract length: 1 month

Pay: ₹50, ₹60,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • Penetration testing: 5 years (Required)
  • automated testing : 5 years (Preferred)
  • SQL injection: 5 years (Required)
  • OWASP: 4 years (Required)
  • CSRF: 4 years (Required)
  • PTES: 5 years (Preferred)
