We are seeking an experienced 
Finance Controller
 with expertise in 
both Indian and US financial regulations
 to lead our global financial operations, investor reporting, and compliance as we scale into new geographies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for domestic and global operations.
  • Build financial models for international market entry, pricing, and investor pitch decks.
  • Advise leadership on cross-border tax structures, currency risk, and transfer pricing strategies.

2. Accounting & Compliance (India + US)

  • Oversee statutory compliance in India (Ind AS, GST, Income Tax, FEMA, MCA/ROC) and ensure readiness for US GAAP/IFRS reporting standards.
  • Coordinate with US-based accountants and legal counsel on corporate filings, tax compliance, and subsidiary management.
  • Ensure compliance with international funding, investment, and grant requirements.

3. Cost & Cash Flow Management

  • Implement financial controls to manage project costs and operational expenditure across India and overseas entities.
  • Oversee cash flow planning, treasury operations, and multi-currency banking relationships.
  • Review and approve vendor contracts, payroll, and capital expenditure in line with budgets.

4. Fundraising & Investor Relations

  • Support equity and debt fundraising rounds, including US investor due diligence.
  • Maintain investor reporting packs that meet both Indian and US stakeholder expectations.
  • Track utilisation of funds in compliance with investor agreements and legal requirements.

5. Systems, Processes & Audit

  • Implement ERP or integrated finance platforms that support multi-entity, multi-currency accounting.
  • Lead internal and external audits across geographies.
  • Develop robust internal policies and SOPs for financial governance.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) and/or US CPA with 
    8–12 years
     of post-qualification experience, preferably in 
    manufacturing, clean energy, or high-growth tech startups
    .
  • Proven track record managing 
    both Indian and US
     financial compliance, reporting, and tax structures.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, Ind AS, and IFRS.
  • Experience in 
    cross-border transactions, currency hedging, and transfer pricing
    .
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, investor reporting, and advanced Excel/Power BI.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, global environment.
