Responsibilities : -

  • Design and implement scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks for web, API, and backend testing using tools like Selenium and Playwright.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
  • Plan and execute API testing, ensuring reliability and performance of services and integrations.
  • Conduct database testing to validate data integrity, business rules, and backend logic using SQL or similar tools.
  • Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, scripts, and defects to ensure compliance and audit-readiness.
  • Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback.
  • Leverage AI-powered testing tools and techniques (e.g., intelligent test case generation, self-healing scripts, anomaly detection) to increase test efficiency and reduce maintenance overhead.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and DevOps teams to analyse requirements, identify test scenarios, and determine automation feasibility.
  • Execute automated test cases, analyse failures, log defects, and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution.
  • Maintain comprehensive test documentation, ensuring traceability, coverage, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Ensure automation artifacts are reviewable, auditable, and traceable, supporting both internal QA reviews and external inspections.
  • Continuously optimize automation frameworks and stay ahead of industry trends, bringing innovative QA practices to the team.
  • Promote a culture of automation, ownership, and quality, mentoring team members on modern testing practices when needed.

Desired profile of the candidate : -

  • Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer, SDET, or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing principles, QA methodologies, and test design techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright for UI test automation.
  • Experience in API testing using tools/frameworks such as Postman, Newman, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) for integrating automated tests into pipelines.
  • Proficiency in programming or scripting language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python, C#).
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
