Senior Design Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in Special Purpose Machines (SPM), Robotic Solutions and proficiency in SolidWorks. Conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative mechanical solutions for our diverse range of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
➢ 1. Conceptualize and Design: Utilize your expertise in mechanical engineering principles to develop conceptual designs for Specialized purpose machines, Robotic solutions catering to various industry requirements.
➢ 2. SolidWorks Proficiency: Demonstrate a strong command of the SolidWorks software to create 3D models and detailed engineering drawings for the machinery designs.
➢ 3. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, manufacturing team, and other engineers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs into the overall project framework.
➢ 4. Prototyping and Testing: Work closely with the Assembly, Vendors to build and test proof-of concept prototypes to validate the design's functionality, performance, and durability.
➢ 5. Engineering Analysis: Perform OEM part selections, calculations to optimize the mechanical design's performance, reliability, and safety.
➢ 6. Design Modifications and Improvements: Continuously identify opportunities for design enhancements and implement modifications to improve the machinery's efficiency and user friendliness.
➢ 7. Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and assembly instructions, to facilitate the manufacturing process.
➢ 8. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all design outputs meet the company's quality standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements.
➢ 9. Cost Optimization: Collaborate with the procurement team to source cost-effective materials and components without compromising the quality and performance of the machinery.
➢ 10. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest developments in mechanical engineering, SPM technologies, and design practices to bring innovation to the projects. ➢ 11. Maintain discipline and punctuality in the work
➢ 12. Maintain a professional office work culture
➢ 13. Communicate the challenges, issues and problems faced in a project design to the attention of higher ups
Work Experience
➢ At least 8 yrs relevant experience in similar role with OEM Machine Builder/ Integrator ➢ Total Experience – 15 yrs.
➢ Experience in Design to Trials for Assembly Automation machines (pressing, Bolt tightening), Robotic Machine tending, Grippers, robotic welding, Test Rigs, LM systems, Pneumatics
➢ Experience in preparing Proposal concepts, costing, Vision systems, Hydraulics, User manuals is desirable
➢ Minimum 6 years' experience working in Solidworks 3D Modelling, Assembly and Detailing
Academic Qualification and Certification
➢ BE-(Mech) or Diploma (Mech)
➢ Certifications in SolidWorks (preferred)
