The Role

We're looking for a Director of Product Design to lead our growing design team (3–5 initially) and partner with Product, Engineering, and AI leadership. You'll set the design vision, scale the team, and embed design deeply into how we build. Your mission: ensure Asper's AI platforms are usable, reliable, and loved by our customers.

What You'll Do


•Set the vision: Define design strategy, quality standards, and a roadmap tied to business goals.


•Build the team: Hire, coach, and grow a high-performing team of designers and researchers.


•Champion design: Evangelize design thinking and user-first practices across the company.


•Establish systems: Build and roll out design systems (tokens, theming, accessibility, governance).


•Drive research & insights: Lead customer interviews, workshops, and usability testing to guide product direction.


•Partner cross-functionally: Collaborate with PM, Engineering, Data, AI, and Customer Success on discovery, experimentation, and release quality.


•Deliver outcomes: Connect design work to metrics like adoption, retention, NPS/CSAT, and revenue impact.


•Communicate with impact: Share strategy and results with executives and customers.

What We're Looking For


•15+ years in product design, with 7+ years leading SaaS (B2B preferred)


•Proven experience building data-dense, workflow-heavy products and design systems at scale.


•Strong user research background — comfortable leading interviews, contextual inquiries, and workshops.


•Skilled in aligning design with adoption and behavior change strategies.


•Track record mentoring design talent and collaborating closely with product and engineering.


•Excellent communicator and storyteller, comfortable with executive and customer audiences.


•Bonus: Experience with AI/agentic design patterns, enterprise compliance, and multi-brand/theming.
