Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with government customers and departments that align with the company's offerings.
- Research and qualify leads through RFQs, RFPs, and government procurement platforms.
- Knowledge of the GeM Portal is required.
- Promote products or services to government clients via calls, emails, and virtual meetings.
- Develop customized sales proposals and bid responses tailored to government requirements
- Understand and address government compliance regulations, including FAR and DFARS.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, contracting officers, and purchasing agents in government organizations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for government accounts, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Work closely with contracts, legal, and marketing teams to ensure accurate and compliant proposals.
- Collaborate with field sales and business development teams to align sales strategies for government clients.
- Track sales activities, pipeline status, and results.
- Provide regular updates on progress, opportunities, and challenges in the government sales sector.
- Meet or exceed sales quotas and performance goals specific to government accounts.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in sales, preferably in the government sector or B2G (Business-to-Government).
- Familiarity with government procurement processes, contracts, and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of RFQs, RFPs, and other government procurement methods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (should be fluent in English and Hindi)
- High attention to detail and organizational skills for managing complex sales cycles.
- Self-starter with a results-driven mind-sets.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and adapt to changing policies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address government-specific challenges.
