Job Overview

Covenant Consultants is seeking an accomplished Accounts and Taxation Senior Manager for a full-time role based in Madurai. This position encompasses overseeing financial operations, compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards, and effective taxation strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in ERP and tax software, along with exceptional leadership and project management skills to manage a team and drive efficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient in Direct and Indirect tax to manage financial data and integrate accounting functions across the organization.
  • CA Qualifiation is Mandatory

Roles and Responsibilities

A CCOUNTING AND MIS

1.Accurate and timely closure of accounts and preparation of monthly financial statements of both the Trust and

the Foundation

2.Preparation of detailed analysis of P&L, and Balance Sheet items

3.Review of Fixed Assets accounting and ensuring maintenance of FA records & controls relating to ownership

and usage.

4.Ensure all accounting practices are in adherence with applicable Accounting Standards, and Policies &

Procedures of the organization.

5.Continuously review internal control weaknesses and escalate in a timely manner for resolution

Preparation of MIS reports including variance analysis between Budget & Actuals.

Leading Statutory, Internal and Systems audit

B)TAXATION

1. Lead the delivery of a full range of tax services (Direct, indirect taxes) in compliance with laws and

regulations and in alignment to the business

2. Collaborate with consultant to represent and defend the tax position of the organization to tax regulating

bodies during audits or reviews

3. Ensure the support to audits by statutory, internal and tax auditors and management of annual tax

assessments

4. Lead the development and ongoing management of internal policies relating to taxation and implement

these policies into existing accounting practices, and ensures corporate compliance with all applicable

local & state, national & international tax obligations.
