The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products through effective manual and automated testing processes. This role requires a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), along with hands-on experience in test automation frameworks. Success in this position will be defined by the ability to identify and resolve defects efficiently, collaborate cross-functionally with product and development teams, and continuously improve testing processes to meet the organization's quality standards.

Responsibilities

  1. Understand and participate in SDLC and STLC processes.
  2. Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
  3. Identify, document, and track defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  4. Collaborate with Product and Development teams to define quality requirements and acceptance criteria.
  5. Conduct functional, regression, performance, and usability testing across multiple platforms.
  6. Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and automation frameworks to increase efficiency and coverage.
  7. Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and release readiness activities.
  8. Provide quality metrics and reports to stakeholders for informed decision-making

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  3. Good programming knowledge in Core Java or Python.
  4. Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
  5. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and agile development environments.
  6. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  7. Ability to work independently in a distributed team setting.

Nice to Have:

  1. Exposure to Maven / Gradle for build management.
  2. Understanding of hybrid automation framework architecture.
  3. Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
  4. Awareness of Git version control for code collaboration and repository management.
