Job Description: Draughtsman

Experience: 5 to 8 Years

Qualification: Diploma Draughtsman, ITI Draughtsman

Location: Pune

Role & Responsibilities

  • Preparation of 2D mechanical layouts and drawings as per project requirements.
  • Independent preparation of Bulk Storage Tank General Arrangement (GA) and Fabrication Drawings.
  • Drafting of tank structural details, including shell, roof, bottom, nozzles, and supports.
  • Preparation of welding details and sectional drawings required for fabrication.
  • Coordination with design engineers to incorporate design inputs and revisions.
  • Generation of Bill of Materials (BOM) for tanks and associated mechanical items.
  • Ensuring drawings comply with Thermax engineering standards, project specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Maintaining drawing registers, revision control, and timely submission of drawings.

Desired Skill Set

  • Proven drafting experience in the Ethanol / Process / Chemical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of tank fabrication drawings and structural detailing.
  • Good understanding of welding symbols, fabrication practices, and sectional detailing.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working on EPC / MPP projects will be an added advantage.

Software & Technical Skills

  • AutoCAD (2D) Mandatory
  • AutoCAD 3D / Revit – Preferred
  • Mechanical drafting, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, BOM generation
