Fin Solutions Analyst 2

The Fin Solutions Analyst 2 is a developing professional role. Applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data. Identifies policy gaps and formulates policies. Interprets data and makes recommendations. Researches and interprets factual information. Identifies inconsistencies in data or results, defines business issues and formulates recommendations on policies, procedures or practices. Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own team.
 

Key Responsibilities

Collaboration and Analysis:

• Effectively collaborate across the organization with product owners, Finance SMEs, and technology teams to understand business requirements and accomplish objectives.

• Perform end-to-end data analysis on large financial datasets across multiple systems, analyzing complex problems and providing evaluations of business processes and systems.

• Serve as an analytical expert, representing the team on cross-functional operational processes and project deliverables.

• Data Quality and Governance:

• Validate data quality, identify anomalies, and perform root-cause analysis on control-related failures or data quality issues.

• Continuously adhere to and operate within data regulations and the Citi Data Governance Policy (CDGP).

• Perform sanity checks of data feeds and escalate data quality issues requiring strategic remediation to the data owner.

• Proficiency in SQL

• Ensure data quality controls are in place to meet the requirements of data consumers.

• Development and Reporting:

• Contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of data pipelines by investigating and identifying automation opportunities.

• Support the analysis and submission of reports to various regulators, ensuring accurate and timely data availability.

• Create and maintain documentation, including rule specifications, transaction mapping documents, and analysis summaries.

• Testing and Issue Management:

• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of end-to-end screening and dispositioning functionality.

• Coordinate with downstream teams to ensure the timely closure of data issues.

• Ensure timely escalation of potential and/or known issues by following proper escalation procedures.

• Risk and Control:

• Ensure all essential procedures are followed and help define technology and application operating standards and processes.

• Monitor and research errors to ensure adherence to audit and control policies.

• Mitigate operational risk loss events through the discovery and creation of operational efficiencies.

Qualifications:

• 2 - 5 years of relevant experience

• Proficient knowledge of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the goals of the area.

• Has working knowledge of industry practices and standards.

Education:

• Bachelors degree
