Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Management:


•Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards for electrical systems in solar installations.


•Ensure compliance with international (IEC, ISO) and national standards (BIS, CEA) applicable to solar projects.


•Review and validate electrical designs, schematics, and installation drawings for compliance and quality.

2. Inspection & Testing:


•Conduct inspections and audits of electrical components, inverters, panels, wiring, and switchgear at supplier, warehouse, and site levels.


•Monitor installation practices and ensure adherence to electrical codes and safety standards.


•Perform root cause analysis for failures or non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.

3. Documentation & Reporting:


•Prepare and maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, and test certificates.


•Track and report key quality metrics, trends, and deviations to management.


•Support internal and external audits by providing necessary records and reports.

4. Continuous Improvement:


•Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization in electrical quality practices.


•Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and operations teams to improve component quality and supplier performance.


•Implement preventive measures to minimize defects and ensure long-term reliability of solar systems.

Qualifications:


•Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related field.


•37 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in solar PV, renewable energy, or electrical systems.


•Strong understanding of electrical standards, testing procedures, and solar system components (inverters, transformers, switchgear, PV modules).


•Knowledge of ISO 9001, IEC standards, and safety regulations.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Hands-on experience with testing equipment and quality inspection tools.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and proactive approach to quality issues.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to project sites for inspections and audits.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and contractors for quality compliance.
